April’s Treat of the Month Club

Today, Lisa and I met up with the members of our Treat of the Month Club to dole out this month’s delights. We had fun creating each special package and greeting all the lovely members who met us out in the sunshine on this beautiful spring day.

Although we went home empty-handed, our hearts were pretty full. We’re already working on restocking our freezers with special treats for May, and we can’t wait to see how this little project grows and evolves over the coming months.

For April’s instalment, each person received a reusable container filled with gluten-free and vegan treats:

  • Lemon Almond Biscotti dipped in Chocolate Fondue from Doug McNish’s Eat Raw, Eat Well
  • Chocolate Orange Truffle rolled in coconut and goji berries (developed for the raw dessert class that Lisa will be teaching for Meghan Telpner)
  • Mocha Maca Truffle rolled in cacao nibs (also developed for Lisa’s raw dessert class)
  • Flourless Almond Cookies with chocolate chips and cacao nibs (a test for a dessert eBook project I’m working on)
  • Hazelnut Brownies with Maple Chocolate Ganache (another test for the dessert eBook)
  • Sprouted Buckwheat Bites (lucky for all you non-members, I posted this recipe last week)
